The story behind the name
Pedrazzini boats are valuable rarities. The mahogany runabouts are built by hand the old fashioned way in countless individual steps. It takes up to nine months to build a single runabout. The history of the family-run business began in 1906 when Augusto Pedrazzini migrated from Italy to Lake Zurich. His son Ferruccio studied Nautical Science and Design and in the 1950s created the Capri Super Deluxe, the boat used as the model for present-day runabouts including the flagship, Special. Claudio Pedrazzini continues in the family tradition. In the cabin there is a series of photos officially sanctioned for us that provides insights into the time-consuming construction of the hull.
