In the past few years however Ticino has also become the focus of attention for active holidaymakers as a place for challenging sports. In addition to classic mountain sports and cycling, water sport plays a significant role. On the lake, both in Ticino and on the Italian side, many new marinas have been built and hardly a week goes by without a regatta taking place or a growing in-water boat show.
