The story behind the name

A fast, sporty regatta yacht designed by Helmut Stöberl in 1970 as a two-man keelboat with trapeze and spinnaker. The German Sailing Association recognised it as a national class in 1973. The hull is made of glass fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP), the mast and boom of lightweight aluminium. Regattas for Dyas are held at most sailing areas in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. The European Cup held each year on Lake Garda is particularly attractive. There is a half model specially handcrafted for us in the cabin.
