The story behind the name

The sailing yacht designed by Sparkman in 1946 at the prime of his career and first launched in 1949. The 73-foot yawl won the Astor Cup five times and was the fastest boat in the Bermuda Races in 1950, 1954 and 1956. There is a print of the original construction plans by Sparkman & Stephens in the cabin.
